The week of March 10, 2025 was our opening week for our Spring BlueCatfish season and the Upper Tidal Potomac River is treating us fairly well. We have caught some monster Bluecatfish with the largest weighing 67 lbs. The water is still cold @ about 50 degrees surface temp and that has the best bite primarily in deep water. As the water warms up a little over the next week, the fish will push shallow and feed much more aggressively which will get our numbers up and consistency up. The fish still think it is late February as we actually had a real winter this year compared to the very mild winters the past few years.
