July 2010

July fishing was good overall, with some amazing top water lure fishing for Rockfish early in the month when the fish showed themselves. August fishing was of mixed results with the super hot temps we were dealt. Rockfishing was either feast or famine, as the hot temps had the fish tightly schooled. September was a good month of fishing for the MISS SUSIE. The Rockfish which were very tricky to catch during the dog days of summer showed back up in excellent numbers and we were able to catch them with a wide array of methods from top water lure casting , jigging, live lining and trolling…. WOW!!!!  One word that describes the fishing action over the last week and 1/2.  The warmer than normal temps have kept the bait sized Spot in our area in great numbers and the Rockfish from 18 inches the 37 inches are eating them up!!!  The live lining is as good as it gets right now… Read more »

Upcoming Fishing Action!!!

As the water cools of in mid to late September the Rockfish 18 to 36 inches flock to structure and we will be geared up for the best live lining of the year to catch them. Don’t miss your shot at some excellent light tackle, live lining action and good Bluefishing also.
